About
I am a visual artist. I draw, I paint, I design characters, brand identities and websites, I produce animated shorts and I teach.
I studied drawing and painting at the Beaux-Arts of Foumban (2014–2017), then cartoon animation at IFCPA-CRTV (2017–2019). Since then I move between disciplines: painting, characters, comics, brand identity, animation, production.
What ties all of it together is a method. I draw it from each project, I write it down and I teach it: graphic design, digital animation, concept art, editing, in six institutions since 2018.
I founded Abyl Studio in 2018, then Group LEUD, my production company, in 2024. I produced Mboa Matanda, a film by Jules Kalla Eyango (official selection at TIFF 2023, TV5Monde Prize in Abidjan in 2024), and Noël au Continent. I am developing two fictional worlds, #mayday and Ndamba, and I am looking to co-produce them.
Career
2014–2017
Beaux-Arts Institute of FoumbanProfessional bachelor’s in visual arts, drawing and painting option. Thesis on psychological violence unwittingly inflicted on children (the Parents! poster series). First paintings: Sincère, Passions, L’innocence écrasée.
2017–2019
IFCPA-CRTVHigher technician diploma in audiovisual, cartoon animation specialty. Graduation film: Les aventures de Kulu et Imbem (6 min 14 s), on which I am character designer, background painter and art director. In those years I also design, as a subcontractor for advertising and communication agencies, the campaign materials of the ILO, the Africa and Diaspora Universities, ONECCA and Crédit du Sahel.
2018
Abyl Studio, first classesI found Abyl Studio. I start teaching digital animation and concept art at ENSPY.
2020–2023
First identities directedI teach graphic design and image retouching at IUES / INSAM. I direct my first identities: Festi7 (2020), Nshu shu’ Festival (2021), MMA Bantou (2023).
2021–2023
University of Yaoundé IProfessional master’s coursework in cinema, production-distribution option (defense pending). My thinking on production under constraint comes from it.
2022–2023
Mboa MatandaI produce Jules Kalla Eyango’s short, from April 2022 to May 2023. World premiere at TIFF 2023.
2024
Group LEUDI found Group LEUD. Mboa Matanda wins the TV5Monde Prize in Abidjan. Noël au Continent is completed in June. I direct the Cameroon Hotels Corporation rebranding.
2025–2026
Project management, teachingI train in project management (Google professional certificate on Coursera, four courses out of seven completed) and intercultural competence (UNESCO and Higher Colleges of Technology). Since April 2026, I teach at the College of Art & Design in Yaoundé.

Beyond the studio
